Budgam, Aug 29 (KNO): The newly constructed bus stand in Chadoora is likely to become operational next week, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam Athar Amir Khan said during his visit to the town on Saturday.
The DC, accompanied by Chadoora MLA Ali Mohammad Dar and SDM Chadoora Primrose Bashir, reviewed various ongoing development projects and public issues during visits to the Tehsil Office, new bus stand and Town Hall.
At the Town Hall, Khan, as reported by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said necessary directions had been issued to the SDM, police and traffic authorities to ensure that the new bus stand is made operational next week.
The move has brought cheer among local residents, as shifting and operationalisation of the new bus stand has been a long-pending demand of the people of Chadoora.
The DC also reviewed the ongoing work on the main Chadoora bridge and directed the concerned authorities to expedite its completion. The progress of the footbridge was also reviewed.
Issues related to street lights, water supply and frequent power cuts were also raised during the interaction, following which directions were issued to the concerned departments for early redressal—(KNO)
